Championships

  • FIA European Championship SuperProduction: Competing as BMW Team Germany, Peter Kox (NL) won the title with three victories. Norman Simon (D) secured first place in the Under 23 class.
  • FIA European Touring Car Championship (ETCC): Under the name BMW Team Spain, with Jordi Gené (E) and Fabrizio de Simone (I) driving the BMW 320i.
  • ETCC: Racing as BMW Team Italy-Spain, with drivers Fabrizio Giovanardi (I) and Antonio Garcia (E) achieving multiple podiums and one pole position. Alessandro Zanardi made a remarkable comeback, finishing seventh in a specially modified BMW 320i at Monza.
  • ETCC: Continued participation with Zanardi and Garcia, focusing on developing the BMW 320i for Zanardi’s special needs.
  • World Touring Car Championship (WTCC): Zanardi won a historic race at Oschersleben (D), and Garcia achieved strong results. Zanardi also won the Italian SuperTouring Cars Championship.
  • WTCC: Featured drivers Alessandro Zanardi, Costa (E), and Duncan Huisman (NL). Zanardi won at Istanbul (Turkey) in the BMW 320si.
  • WTCC: With Zanardi and Felix Porteiro (E). Porteiro won at Brno circuit (CZ), and Zanardi finished third.
  • WTCC: Zanardi and Porteiro delivered a one-two finish in race 1 at Brno circuit (CZ). Zanardi also achieved his first WTCC pole position and narrowly missed a win in the second race. Porteiro won at Oschersleben (D). Luca Rangoni (IT) won in the Superstars Series with the BMW M3.
  • WTCC: BMW Team Italy-Spain-ROAL Motorsport’s Zanardi and Sergio Hernandez (E) won both races at Brno circuit (CZ). In the Superstars International Series, Gianni Morbidelli (IT) won the championship in a BMW M3 sedan.
  • Superstars International Series: Competing as BMW Team Italia, with Thomas Biagi winning both the International and Italian titles in the BMW M3 coupé. ROAL Motorsport achieved six victories.
  • WTCC: Tom Coronel (NL) won at Suzuka (J) and finished fourth in the championship with the new BMW 320TC. Alberto Cerqui (IT) became the Champion in the Superstars Italian Series.
  • Italian GT Championship: ROAL Motorsport, racing as BMW Team Italia with the BMW Z4 GT3, claimed the title with Stefano Colombo (IT) and Thomas Biagi (IT), securing five victories and five pole positions. In the WTCC, Tom Coronel (NL) and Alberto Cerqui (IT) frequently finished in the top ten with their BMW 320TC.
  • Italian GT Championship: BMW Team Italia won the Team title with drivers Michela Cerruti, Stefano Colombo, and Stefano Comandini, achieving three wins with the BMW Z4 GT3. In the WTCC, Tom Coronel (NL) secured two victories driving a BMW 320TC.
